Arriva Bus and Coach celebrates Jeans for Genes Day!
Arriva Bus and Coach held a blue coffee morning last Friday to raise money for Jeans for Genes.
Staff at Arriva Bus and coach left their suits at home and wore their jeans on Jeans for Genes Day which took place on Friday 19th September.
We held a coffee morning for all staff including a raffle and live auction to win a TV! Employees could bid for their managers to make drinks for them throughout the day and staff were encouraged to wear ‘double denim’.
In total we raised a fantastic £614.88 for Jeans for Genes and had a brilliant day in aid of a good cause.
We all inherit a range of talents, skills and personality traits through our genes – they’re part of what makes us who we are. But 1 in 25 children also inherit a genetic disorder that makes their life very difficult. We all put on a pair of jeans and got involved in the activities at Arriva Bus and coach to help to fund the extra care and support that transforms their lives.
